I've been married for 36 years this coming June, 2008 and have one son who is working on his PhD in mathematics. We live in a suburb of Portland, Oregon in the United States.
Theologically, I'm firmly in the Reformed camp. I believe and rejoice in the Doctrines of Grace (TULIP) and agree with most of the Westminster Confession. I'm a member at Evergreen Presbyterian Church (PCA) in Beaverton, Oregon.
While a committed Calvinist I believe in the importance of evangelism and proclamation of the gospel of Jesus Christ. In this I join with my Baptist, Assembly of God, Lutheran, Foursquare, Methodist (and all other denominations') brothers and sisters in this declaration of the gospel. While we won't agree on a number of issues, belief in salvation by faith alone (sola fide) in Christ alone (sola Christus) by the grace of God alone (sola gratia) is enough to bind us together at this point.
My goal for this site is to present primarily Reformed materials that both teach and edify the Church. In addition to Reformed material there some articles and sites that have good Christian content but are not necessarily either Reformed or Calvinist in perspective. It must be noted that I don't agree with all that's presented here but have found even those things I don't agree with to be helpful in some way.
